I think that Heaven will be a lot more like earth than we realize. An optimal Earth, with optimal minds and bodies of course though. I remember once, I was reading about the religious beliefs of a certain group and they believed that Heaven would be a lot like Earth, and I thought, that can’t be so, Heaven will be so much better than Earth. But, as time has gone by, my position has changed on that.
One of my first thoughts about that was realizing how beautiful and perfect earth can be. How beautiful a forest can be and the many other natural wonders. I thought about how Hollywood has never been able to envision a better place than earth. I have never seen an imagined world I thought looked better than earth. The best ones had many Earth-like qualities to them. To imagine better, is to only see an Earth that is trimmed of its harsher qualities and with more of its better qualities. If we imagine what a perfect Earth would look like, I think we would be taking a closer look into our potential future. I don’t believe we will be living on clouds anyways hehe.
I think our experience here is even somewhat reflective of what our existence will be like for a large part of our time in Heaven. I think we still will have jobs and that we will enjoy working. When we have our eternal minds and bodies, I think we will be very grateful for work and see it as a blessing. I think it is something that will help fill us with purpose as we are existing through eternity. I think we will like working in order to obtain things. I just think there is so much value in work in the right environment. Work is very traumatic for me right now in this life, but I can see its value and know I will enjoy doing it when I have a better mind about me.
I think that this economic system that has been revealed to me is very Heaven in nature. A system that actually works for everyone. I think it is an economic system that we will have in Heaven. To implement it now, would be to get a small glimpse of Heaven on Earth. In Heaven we will go through the system from all angles throughout our lives, performing pretty much every job at some point and living many different lifestyles. This will inspire us in so many different ways, to see and experience the world from so many different viewpoints. Inspire our writing, creativity, art, etc. We will be very well rounded individuals.
We will of course still have the Metaverse and the Oasis to live out our fantasies. I was actually thinking about space exploration the last couple days. I think most of our space exploration will take place in the Metaverse and the Oasis. I believe this mainly because I don’t believe that God will make anyone live apart from him. I don’t think he will put aliens on some distant planet just for our amusement. I think we will all live on one planet with him and be close to our Creator. I see aliens more of something the Holy Spirit will generate/roleplay when we are in the Metaverse or Oasis. Not that people couldn’t also roleplay being aliens as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if there might be some level of space exploration in Heaven itself though. Perhaps for mining resources or something of that nature. Maybe a few planets to vacation to or something hehe.
While I think something like teleportation is definitely possible in Heaven, I am not sure it is something we will use. I think we will still take planes, trains, and automobiles. Something so pleasant about those things, especially when it is all perfected in Heaven.
I just really think our eternal lives are being revealed to us in a lot of ways. While carrying out his plan, God has also revealed to us much of the potential of Heaven. It will also be a world without crime and all that as well. A place where we could all leave our doors unlocked if we wanted to. A place where we can eat whatever we want without repercussions. I can only imagine how great a culture of eating without repercussions could create for us. Eating is already such a great part of our culture and it will only get so much better. Although, I am sure we will still get full, otherwise we would probably just want to eat all the time without stopping. Also, economically, it would be hard to produce and sustain enough food for a society that never stops eating without having to get into some “magic” or what have you.
I am sure we will have highly spiritual lives. But, I have a feeling that God will try to keep “magic” at a minimum in order to give us jobs and purpose though. Magic will be more reserved for the Metaverse and the Oasis, where we can live in worlds that revolve around magic if we want to.
I think our homebase in Heaven will be more like Earth than we realize though. A perfected earth, one in which we live with perfected minds and bodies. I could go on and on and on about my thoughts about this subject. Hopefully I touched on enough topics to hopefully share my vision with you all a bit though. I think more has been revealed to us than we realize, just a matter of taking the time and getting in the right mindset to see it.
