Been thinking about an Earth in Base Heaven. Been thinking about what an Earth would be like when we can’t die, get hurt, get sick, feel severe pain, etc. Feels like it could be a bit chaotic really. I think Family Guy even did an episode where Death is out of commision for a bit and everyone is just running around doing crazy stuff because they can’t die.
I would still personally like to live in a civilized society hehe. One where everyone isn’t just driving 120 mph everywhere, people just crossing the street whenever, people jumping off buildings and what not, etc. But, at the same time I wouldn’t want to live in a world where we all have an internal human governor that restricts everything we do. I feel that might be too much of a restriction of free will.
I have a feeling we will still have laws. And I would assume being moral people guided by the Holy Spirit that we will naturally want to follow the laws. But, I wouldn’t be surprised if we can still break certain laws. Not out of maliciousness, but even something like not looking where you’re going or being in a hurry to get somewhere.
Things like that are part of what makes us Human in my opinion. And even choosing to slightly break a law or not is somewhat part of what makes us Human. Ya know, making every decision throughout the day.
Like I was saying though, I think we will have minds that want us to be moral, I just think there will be some give here and there. It is also part of what allows us to have more distinct personalities.
I was thinking it would be kinda neat if living our life was a little like a game in a way. Where we got rewarded for going so long without breaking any laws. Get rewarded for going so long without doing something that would have broken a bone, hurt, or killed us. That we would have stat sheets even hehe. Perhaps the movie Free Guy might have even been a little bit of a revelation in that regard. We would be protected from all of those physical pains and what not, but it would go on our record and we might lose out on certain rewards or what not.
It would be kinda cool if perhaps even farming and things like that were even a bit similar. We would always have food and everything even if things went wrong. But, perhaps it would go on our records if we didn’t produce enough food or there would have been a famine or something. Maybe it might even be a little like a sim city game where we are fighting the elements and natural disasters as well in a similar way (not too sure if there will be natural disasters, granted I am sure you wouldn’t eternally lose things that you held most dear).
Maybe there would be individual rewards as well as community rewards. The community rewards might even motivate us to try and make everyone work together better or act a certain way in order to achieve them. Could be cool.
I don’t know… Maybe this is just some philosophical concept of existence we would live out in the Oasis. But, I really do wonder how an Earth would work when Bad things won’t truly be an issue. And like I was saying, it would be nice to live life without a hardcore internal governor either. I feel there needs to be some sort of balance there.
I am sure shows like America’s funniest home videos and ridiculousness will be on a whole nother level in Heaven haha. I definitely feel we will be doing some dumb stuff that will be really funny to share and watch. It will be much funnier when we know people aren’t really getting hurt and all that as well.
Interesting to think about though. This is all very speculative of course, granted I feel with some pretty strong logic as well. I just don’t think we are all going to be robots anyways. I think God will give us the most free will he possibly can. I just try and imagine what that might look like. And like I was saying, maybe that Free Guy movie is a bit of a revelation in its own way. May even be part of where I came to this line of thinking. That and a lifetime of video games hehe.
