Sharing that last post about Netflix and Streaming service helped me gain some perspective…
I think what I fear is losing the old Netflix…
Netflix used to be the ultimate entertainment end user experience in a way… All of our favorite movies ended up at Netflix in a way (trickled down), then we all got to enjoy watching each other’s favorite movies and tv shows… it was a great user experience and helps us have that shared cultural experience… we all start understanding each other’s references and things like that… makes spoof movies more possible, where they poke fun at multiple different movies… it is a good time…
So perhaps I don’t mind that there are all of these new content producers now… I just hope that someone carries the torch of the end user experience and that all these companies aren’t super stingy and share their productions after they have been around so long… share the love at some point people!
Maybe there is just a new level of content in the entertainment industry now… another level that entertainment will have to flow through until it makes it to the end user experience…
I could probably live with that… I want my end user experience though; Netflix was really onto something special there… I personally hope they go back to that formula and carry the torch; I would be a subscriber for life under a certain price.
Then maybe I would have my Netflix and could try out different content producers throughout the year…
